It's been a quiet week for our off-roaders but that hasn't stopped the rest of the team from pulling in the results on the road and tri scenes.
Road
Roland Tilley in action for our sister team, Weber Creative - Bournemouth Cycleworks
Another beautiful evening at the Bournemouth Cycleworks Moreton race series on Thursday where the team brought home some great results with Steve Dring in 2nd place, Bill Hays in 4th and Roland Tilley from our sister team, Weber Creative - Bournemouth Cycleworks, in 9th.
Roland and Carol Tilley (also Weber Creative - Bournemouth Cycleworks) were in action again this weekend at the LVRC Road Race near Rugby, where Roland won his category (7th overall) and Carol was a brilliant 2nd place in her category.
Also on the road this week was George Creasey, racing the Farnham Town Centre race, taking a very strong 15th place from 53 starters in some very hot conditions.
Time Trial
George Creasey was in action during the week on his road bike but this time he was time trialling and pushed hard to put down a new PB of 55.14 for 25 miles at the A3crg open event. Cracking time from George, particularly on his road bike.
Track
The Bournemouth Velodrome Track League has now finished with James Meakin confirmed 4th place overall. A great result from James on the track with some consistent results all season.
Triathlon
Naomi at the Bustinskin Olympic Distance in Weymouth
Naomi Shinkins was in action at the Bustinskin olympic distance triathlon in Weymouth on Sunday. Naomi came out of the water further back than usual as 5th lady and left herself with a bit of work to do on the bike. But a good measured effort on the hilly 40km bike course (1.06) put her in 3rd place and in a good position to put down a decent 10km to move up to 2nd placed lady overall and age group winner.
All these great results are not possible without the fantastic support we get from our sponsors, including Ford Civil Engineering, Vitec Ceilings and Partitions Ltd, Manuel Builders, Gibbs and Dandy Bournemouth, Hill & Son Ford Service, Mark Hooper Tree Care IW Price & Partners, in8 Creative Design and E3Coaching. And of course our title sponsor Bournemouth Cycleworks, who provide many our riders top quality Trek speed machines and Bontrager equipment across all disciplines to race on.
Finally a special mention to Shaun Amor who is coming back from a tough injury but is back on the bike this week and making headway, fingers crossed for a speedy recovery! Well done to all for all the hard training and racing this week - we have lots of members out doing various activities from running to cross fit including Garry Taylor and Emma Barrett who have been mixing it up with some crossfit competitions.
