A quieter racing week this week but it was a podium finish for Bob Ford in Paul Simon Road Race and Luke Monhan and Naomi Shinkins were also racing in Winchester and Farnham.

Bob Ford added another LVRC podium to his credentials this week with 3rd in the 'F' category in the Paul Simon Road Race. It was a long race at 64km but Bob had the legs in the final sprint to get across the line in 3rd place.

Naomi Shinkins was back time trialling again this week in preparation for her triathlon season. This time it was 50 miles on the Bentley by-pass. It was a slow day with a strong westerly wind and pretty stacked female field with some of the big hitters turning up for one of the few 50 milers in the south including national champions. Naomi paced the race well and placed where she expected in a strong field in 8th out of 22 starters.

Luke Monahan was in Winchester on Sunday racing the Winchester Park and Ride. It's a tight course and there was a 2 man break early on, with another 3 riders in between the chase group. Luke stayed with the chase group, who caught the 3 riders ahead and was 7th over the line to collect a few British Cycling for his efforts.

All these great results are not possible without the fantastic support we get from our sponsors, including Ford Civil Engineering, Vitec Ceilings and Partitions Ltd, Manuel Builders, Gibbs and Dandy Bournemouth, Hill & Son Ford Service, IW Price & Partners and in8 Creative Design. And of course our title sponsor Bournemouth Cycleworks, who provide many our riders top quality Trek speed machines and Bontrager equipment across all disciplines to race on.
