This weekend the big race was the Gorrick G100 with wins for Tony Revell and Kate Bowers and many more strong performances from the team.

Off Road

A few team riders took on the Gorrick 100 MTB lap race with Tony Revell, Kate Bowers, Andrew Smith, Ross Smith and Stuart King competing. Results were - Kate Bowers 1st 4 lap category; Andrew Smith 6th 5 lap category; Tony Revell 1st 7 lap category; Ross Smith 4th 7 lap category; Stuart King 7th 7 lap category.

In Tony's own words:

"Big day in the saddle today at the Gorrick G100. With some longer races coming up I decided to challenge myself and enter the 100km/7lap challenge. The game play 'turtle and the hare' go hard from the gun and try and stay away from the endurance boys was on - and the hare won!! I was the first man across the line with a time of 4 hours 25mins. My trusted Trek Top Fuel proved to be the perfect tool for the job once again."

And if that wasn't enough for Tony and Stuart, they were also out on Sunday for the Off Camber 100km gravel ride, joined by Roland Tilley. The boys completed the course in just under 5 hours, which included some challenging mechanicals and a bit of getting lost in the woods for good measure!

Road

Phil Cole and Naomi Shinkins were in action on the road in the Portsmouth North End Road Race and the WTTA 100 mile TT respectively. In poor conditions, Phil suffered from cramp in the sprint but still came home a very strong 24th of 80 riders. Naomi had an early start to get to Swindon Sunday morning to race the WTTA 100 mile TT. Despite a well paced ride and power pb it was 4th lady for Naomi on the tough U86/100 course. in Naomi's own words:

"A really great 'honest' TT course on Sunday. The plan was to go out conservatively at my ironman pace and build every lap of the 5 lap course. And that's what I did with a negative split for each lap. It's not a fast course with 5 junctions per lap and some pretty poor road surfaces - oh and the wind and rain didn't help either. But delighted with a 100 mile power pb and a well paced ride but good enough for 4th lady. My Trek Speed Concept was spot on as usual and a huge thanks to the Cycleworks guys for sorting my emergency stans issue last minute the day before .... wheels were spot on for race day thanks to the guys!"
